Hotel's location was stunning and magnificent, in a quiet neighbourhood. Enjoyed a seating area, ironing facilities, and a writing desk in the room. The staff were exceptionally nice and a very very good and superb breakfast was provided.

Fantastic Guest House in a fantastic location with a great walk around the local Mere. Every effort was made to ensure we had everything we needed during out visit. Food was excellent and bed was super cosy. Visited the local pub which was friendly and served good wholesome food. Top marks all round.

Value for money. Beautiful building with interiors decorated old-style. It was in keeping with the style of the house, but possibly could do with a refurb soon, although spotlessly clean. Great little local pub walking distance down the road serving very reasonably priced food. Breakfast was excellent at Pickmere Country House

The owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The house has a lovely atmosphere and it is a very welcoming place.
The shower took a little bit of getting used to but once I mastered it, it was fine!

A very old building that unfortunately creaked and moaned its way for our entire stay. Noise from other guests was disturbing at times. Nice country location. Staff very helpful. Would recommend to other guests, but make sure you have a car as its out of the way of most major centres and tourist attractions. Having said that it is central to a lot of things to see and do. Great little pub just a few doors down. Dont expect gourmet food though...

We stayed for one night in a superior double room and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was very nicely decorated in keeping with its age and country location. The bed was extremely comfortable and both me and my husband had a good nights sleep. Cleanliness of the room was exemplary, and I am a hard task master in that division. Breakfast was of a good standard and served in a lovely, sunny dining room. The owner of the house was friendly and happy to suggest local eateries to suit what we were looking for. Looking forward to going again, hopefully for a longer stay next time.

Lovely hotel. The owners were very polite and friendly (and happy to provide aspirin for this hung-over guest!). Room was clean and very pleasant. Perfectly comfortable. I had a single room, which was comfortable and very good value for money. My companions had double rooms and these were lovely. Breakfast very good: filling and tasty, with lots of options. The guest house has a very pleasant lounge. The location rural, but is only 3 miles from Northwich, so I was able to access it easily by national train with an £8.50 taxi ride.
The only very nearby eatery is the pub down the road is nice but quite expensive, especially for food. No complaints at all about the guest house.

Nice hostess, clean comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast. Quiet location with a great pub about 200 meters away, serving good pub food and and beer. We would stay again if in the area.
Nothing. Typical B&B, but more exoensive than Europe.

Perfect spot for solo travelers
The breakfast was possibly the best I've had while away, with local ingredients that tasted fantastic.
It wasn't inexpensive but still acceptable for what I got.
